The apparell‘s call is very thin and repetitive; it calls for long amounts of time. The apparell is different from other birds because it breathes in and out while the call never stops, there’s no rest, it keeps going for a long time, not like other birds that call and stop. The apparell sings Żaqżieqa and Igeżgeż overlapping each other. It sings something like this. [whistles] You use a whistle that is very small. We Maltese call it the robin’s whistle but you can use it to call several birds. It’s suitable for the Apparell’s call because it makes a thin sound [whistles] that’s the song. The call of the apparrell is thin [whistles] and there’s what we call the closing. The apparel izaqzaq.
